Are you in the Chicago area and looking for a community rooted in the Gospel of Grace? We invite you to join us! We are a growing group of believers dedicated to growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Gathering Information:
We meet in a relaxed home setting in the Portage Park neighborhood. Because our meeting schedule is flexible, we coordinate our gathering days and times directly through our group contact.
Our fellowship typically includes:
• Watch-Alongs: Joining together to watch the Duluth Bible Church live stream, followed by a time of shared prayer and discussion.
• Interactive Bible Studies: In-depth, personal studies focused directly on the Scriptures and the finished work of Jesus Christ.

Standing firm means to hold fast to the unmerited favor that God has given us through Jesus Christ, not relying on our own works or efforts but trusting fully in His provision for salvation and sanctification. The finish work of Christ is the foundation of our justification which is available to us by means of God‘s amazing grace—and it is the Holy Spirit who empowers us to live godly lives. We are called to stand firm, resisting legalism and false teachings, and to grow continually in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. This steadfastness involves humility, recognizing our complete dependence on God's grace, and living lives that reflect gratitude rather than licentiousness. Our confidence is not in ourselves but in the power of God’s grace that saves and sustains us. Therefore, standing firm in Christ is both a positional truth—being justified and secure in Christ—and an experiential reality—growing in Christlikeness by relying on God's enabling power daily.
Scripture:
“By Silvanus, our faithful brother as I consider him, I have written to you briefly, exhorting and testifying that this is the true grace of God in which you stand.” I Peter 5:12
"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery." Galatians 5:1
"But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen." 2 Peter 3:18
